A Depressing Poem

Um, look at the title. That's pretty much what it is.

Doom awaits and troubles call,
Mountains break and empires fall,
Seasons change and hearts will stray,
Sorrows flourish day by day.
Hope will fail and dreams will cease,
Love abandoned, no more peace,
All will perish, all will die,
He and she and you and I.
Stop your dreams and break your heart,
For you this world will hold no part.
Don't believe what can't be true,
Don't trust in lies as others do.
Know the world will hold no joy,
Not for girl and not for boy,
Die alone with no one near,
Scream aloud, no one will hear.
All the people, but they don't care,
You're trapped in a world that isn't fair.
Know your place and never rise,
Don't be caught in hurtful lies.
You're alone against the world,
Tattered banner half-unfurled,
You can never win this fight,
So give up hope and die tonight.
