Boots are such an amazingly wonderful piece of footwear, are they not?
It was once said by someone very wise (my mother) that you can judge a movie by the boots that are worn in it. This has more than once proven true in my own life.
Star Wars has amazingly fantastic boots, as does Lord of the Rings, The Princess Bride, and Phantom of the Opera. But they don't have to be live-action movies to have spectacular boots, of course. For example, the movie Treasure Planet has great boots, and the TV series Avatar: The Last Airbender also has lovely boots. And the few movies I have watched that I have absolutely hated, have, amazingly enough, had terrible boots. Believe me, I was watching for them.
So, while it is often said that you cannot judge a book or movie by its cover, perhaps you can instead judge a movie by its boots. Obviously, this is not a fool-proof method of judging, but in my time, it has proved fairly true. Who knows? One day it may save you from watching a terrible movie.

BFF
(This post is dedicated to my mom.)
BFF.
"Text talk" for "Best Friends Forever," right?
Wrong.
Let me explain.
My mother and I have an on-going argument about whether the character Boba Fett, who is a Star Wars character, is dead or not. I say he isn't, and my dear mother says that he is. He isn't dead, by the way.
Anyhow, a bit back, my mom and I were up in my older sister's room, cleaning, and I found a piece of cardboard on which was written "B.F.=Boba Fett lives!" This was, obviously, my work, which I estimate was about a year old.I started laughing, and then I showed it to my mom, who just rolled her eyes.
Then both of us looked at it for a moment, and at the same time that my eyes lit up with delight, my mom said, "Oh, no! I know where this is going."
I practically started jumping up and down as I exclaimed, "Oh, oh! Mom, BF? Boba Fett? BFF, Boba Fett Forever!!"
Her pained face was priceless.
So, dear friends, if you ever happen to get something from me with the letters "BFF" on it, then know that I am not, actually, referring to the fact that we happen to be extremely good friends, but the fact that Boba Fett is Forever.
