Pescetarianism

OH THE HORROR.

This is the fish I de-tailed and decapitated. It was a bit of an ordeal for me. The jaw was moving as I was trying to saw the head off the thing, and the flesh started separating from the ribs and skin, which is why there's a random piece of skin missing.

I love eating fish. I really do. I think they have great taste, and given that I don't eat any other meat, I feel that it's good that I eat fish, because at least I can get some sort of protein that way. But I seriously don't like preparing the fish. Because as good as this particular fish tasted, the whole scenario scarred me for life just a little bit.

But I suppose everyone needs that sort of experience at least once, right?

And that's my update.

My . . . you certainly mangled that fish, didn't you? I went fishing, but I didn't clean the fish - I just, ah, packaged it. Yup. Interesting experience.

That picture's really rather gruesome, but it's not NEARLY as bad as a bunch of the pictures we have on our computer. Think dissected pigs. Squashed lizards. Bloody squirrel skulls. My poor baby puppy, lying unconscious with her belly sliced open (yeah, I couldn't really look at those ones).

My parents take interesting photos sometimes. o_O
